褒?贬?
今天上课做了一个小小的presentation，说的是尽量标准而且没有啦啦咯咯的英文。跟我同组的新加坡人说我的英文说的很新加坡式。在我跟她说我是大马人之后，她给我一种：对吧，你看，所以你的英文很新加坡咯...
Excuse me，请问这是称赞我还是贬低我? 如果Singapore english = Singlish，酱应该不是称赞咯...
据说大马人常常因为说话的调调被新加坡人认为是新加坡人。我想说：Kawan di negara kecil selatan Malaysia, saya orang Malaysia. I don't speak English with Singapore accent.

other than that accent,i duno spore got special accent~

proud of being Malaysian. but it doesn't mean that i agree with the Malaysia government.
I am not Singaporean, but I really think that their government is better than Malaysia's.

I reckon good Malaysian English is very alike to Singaporeans.
However, difference does exist and could only detected by trained ears. =p
A Malaysian girl I just met was surprised when I said I'm Malaysian. Again, I am NOT from Hong Kong or neither am I Indonesian.
No offence but I despise people that adds LAH and MAH intentionally just to emphasize that they are Malaysian.. or Singaporean. They may think it's funny but I think it's silly an it's utter nonesense.
I speak with lahs and mahs but not intentionally... haha
Oh well, as long as you speak English that is understandable, who cares what others think. English is an international language thus you should be proud that the English you are speaking is neither Malaysian, Singaporean, Australian nor.. Muar?, you speak an international language.

Haha, not all Singaporeans are kiasu AND kiasi but the percentage is higher.
Exactly... but Indon chinese looks just like us. Plus, it's not only one or twice, definitely more than that. The funniest one is a random person asking that on the QV lift.
